Mid-Session 12 September 19: Trade optimism lifts ASX 200 to five week highs

It has been a bright start for the Australian sharemarket with positive trade headlines boosting the ASX 200 approaching lunch. The benchmark index is lifting more than 0.5% around 6675 as roughly 75% of the 200 largest companies improve. The only sector in decline is the energy sector as crude oil prices slipped up to 3 per cent overnight.
