US sharemarkets posted strong gains on Monday. Insurers rose on reports that damage caused by Hurricane Irma is likely to be less than earlier thought. Shares in Apple rose by 1.8% ahead of new product launches on Tuesday. The Dow Jones index rose by almost 260 points or 1.2% after being up 269 points in afternoon trade. on reports that damage caused by Hurricane Irma is likely to be less

than earlier thought. Shares in Apple rose by 1.8% ahead of new
