Talking Tricks with Kane & Abel
Arts:Performing Arts
Garry Vanderhorne and Greg Burridge – the men behind the phenomenal Lucha Britannia – join Talking Tricks to talk about the iconic cult variety show that is part cabaret, part wrestling event.
The chaps discuss what led to them starting Lucha Britannia, why they chose to include cabaret acts as well as wrestling matches, the role they've had in revolutionising the way the wrestling industry view female and LGBTQ characters and their massive role in the British wrestling revival that has resulted in it being viewed as the most exciting scene on the planet.
They also talk about their wrestling careers, the full-time wrestling school The London School of Lucha Libre that has helped shape some of the biggest wrestling stars on the planet including Will Osprey, Marty Scurll, Nina Samuels and Jimmy Havoc and celebrity fans such as Johnathan Ross.
Also, find out wrestling is a tool that people can take into comedy, acting, magic and stunts.
