Chicago Bears head coach John Fox met the media on Monday, October 10th and he didn't win supporters from the media. When asked asked why Brian Hoyer did not locate an open Alshon Jeffery in the end zone during the last minute of play for what could have been a game-winning play he said:
“It could have been an option [going to Jeffery]. I don’t know that you can be super-critical. When you’re out there playing quarterback it looks a little different than when you’re in the press box having hot dogs.” Later he added: “Had we had the coolness of the hotdog-laden press box, [the ball] might have gone there.”
Draft Dr. Phil takes exception with the comment and Fox's statement that the team does not have a plan at quarterback once Jay Cutler is healthy. In fact, the Doctor is taking exception with John Fox. Period.
