The Seed War

Leviticus is a tough book for me to read. It's a book of rules. I've been reading it slowly, in small chunks so my I can stay focused on the text. Well, last night, while I was reading Leviticus 18:24, I woke up! God said, "Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become defiled". The chapter names all kinds of sexual deviancy - much of it happening AND BECOMING ACCEPTABLE in the world today. Big red flag!

Knowing what I know about the Bible, God is about to send Moses to the promised land and Joshua carries the final torch into the land of Canaan. So the question became, what the heck is going on in Canaan? A little voice inside my head said, "look around you. What was happening in Canaan is happening all over again".

So that's our rabbit hole for today. The Seed War.
