“COVID testing at airports will save jobs” - Kelleher

Fianna Fáil MEP Billy Kelleher says testing for COVID in Irish airports will save jobs in the airline and hospitality industries. 

 

He was speaking as the Government confirmed it will adopt the European Commission’s proposed new traffic light system for foreign travel.

 

At the moment, anyone coming into the country from a non-green list country must self-isolate for 14 days.

 

Billy Kelleher says a common EU approach along with more testing will protect jobs in Cork and Shannon airports.
