Alberto Vaz was an up-and-coming Jazz guitarist from Rio who developed a love for engineering and developed an amazing career earning a Grammy for live and studio sound for Kid Rock, Kacy Musgraves and Sheryl Crow. He currently runs Front of House sound and is the Chief Engineer of Sheryl Crowe’s personal studio. We discuss growing up with limited exposure to musical instruments in Rio, manifesting a scholarship to Berkley School of Music and how he went home to Brazil to hone his skills that would later land him in Music City Nashville, TN with one of the most prolific songwriters and performers
