Market Close 13 Dec 22: ASX 200 climbs ~0.3%

The market climbed by as much as two-thirds of one per cent in early trade, but finished on a more modest note, with the gain of 0.3%. Financial stocks did most of the heavy lifting, but gains in the market were weighed by mining stocks, after the price of iron and gold fell overnight. Looking ahead, investors will likely have their focus on US inflation data, and a speech delivered by RBA Governor Philip Lowe.
