US Close 9 Feb 17: stocks mixed as financials lag and utilities gain

US sharemarkets were mixed on Wednesday. Weakness in financials and healthcare weighed on key indexes but technology and consumer discretionary stocks were higher. At the close, the Dow Jones index was down by 36 points or 0.2%. The S&P 500 index was up by 0.1% while the Nasdaq was higher by 8 points or 0.2%.
