In order for us all to take a stand, we must be willing to take a seat. Today, we are going to do things a little bit differently. We are going to use this platform to have a conversation. Today, we are going to do things a little bit differently. We are going to use this platform to have a conversation. A conversation that Open Arms is praying will create greater unity and bring about great change in our church, in our communities and in our world.

The goal of this conversation is two fold:

Firstly, to respond to racism, to bring awareness to it, to let our black community know that we love you, we see you, we hear you, and to bring unity throughout all of our community.

Secondly, it is to begin a conversation that we’re praying will continue throughout our church, our communities and our nation, as we ask the question ‘how can we be the change and create a new future, a new Ireland, that is diverse and is united.’
