15. Phil DiGiacomo: Navigating Non-Clinical Careers

In this installment, The Shift Report welcomes Dr. Phil DiGiacomo. Like many of his generation he was drawn to medicine by “ER” with Anthony Edwards and George Clooney, followed by a transformative experience in a college classroom. After that start, Phil realized burnout was coming early in his career, tried multiple strategies to fix it, and eventually moved out of clinical medicine.
