In the Gospel of Mark Jesus now turns from super-hero mode to teaching mode and he's an offensive teacher. Imagine a teacher that keeps telling his class they won't and can't achieve, but then the results will eventually be stupendous but surprising. This is what happens in the parable of the Sower and the other "seed" parables that follow in Mark 4.
