Mid-Session 19 August 19: Local investors take heart from gains on Wall Street

Local shares advanced in opening trade on Monday helped by tech led recovery in the US. News that the German Government is considering stimulus measure lifted northern hemisphere markets. Locally, Healthcare, Energy and Consumer Staples led the recovery – although Materials and Telecoms lagged the recovery.
