She talks about her kids and their involvement in sport in Newman - especially Basketball. She remembers the early Fortescue Festivals and the floats that were part of that. She also recalls the Newman Races and getting dressed up for that event! Although she didn't experience a cyclone in Newman, she vividly recalls being in one in Karratha.
