Bold and the Beautiful sees Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is thrust into an unexpected paternal role as he learns of his biological daughter, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada). This revelation propels Luna's redemption arc, potentially leading to her release from a lifelong prison sentence for double homicide. Finnegan's discovery about Luna's parentage has set the stage for a five-point plan for Luna's redemption on the CBS soap opera. 

Bold and Beautiful creates sympathy for Luna, shifting the blame for her actions onto her mother, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), and revealing Finn as her father, thereby implying some inherent goodness in Luna. Luna's release from prison, which could be facilitated by Finn's father, Jack Finnegan (Ted King), a top criminal defense lawyer.
