Market Close 24 Oct 22: ASX 200 surges by 1.5%

The Australian sharemarket rose by 1.5% on Monday, reversing last week’s losses as all 11 sectors finished higher. The Federal Budget, quarterly data on Aussie inflation and the US earnings season’s peak will all receive attention this week.
