According to the information from the Health Department, a woman in her 70s, a man in his 50s, and a man in his 80s, are the latest to pass away from COVID-19. In all, 107 Henry County residents have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Department spoke to WKEI about the latest COVID-19 statistics on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Thursday. The total number of new confirmed positive or probable cases of COVID-19 was down from the record high recorded last week but it is still far to early to determine if this means we've reached the peak of infections from the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The Health Department is still urging residents to get vaccinated as the best protection against COVID-19 and the Health Department has walk-in times available to get vaccinated on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular business hours.
