The annual Kewanee Public Library Pumpkin Decorating contest is now open for submissions. Pumpkins decorated to look like storybook characters will be on display from Monday, October 17th through Halloween. No carved pumpkins, just decorated pumpkins will be on display. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated pumpkin and a prize handed out for just entering the contest will also be up for grabs. Sara also invited everyone to a Friends of the Library get together on Tuesday, October 18th. Central School Teacher Marc Nelson will be speaking to the Friends of the Kewanee Library about a project his students did while learning about The Tuskegee Airmen.
