Third Sunday of Lent - "Cross Training: Dealing With Toxic Relationships"

The gospel account of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well invites our reflection on how one deals with toxic relationships that are deep-seated in our lives. Jesus looks beyond the historical tensions between Jews and Samaritans, and the history of bad relationships that the woman had experienced, to invited her to come to a deeper place and to drink of the "living water" that he offers: a water that refreshes, cleanses, and heals us, drawing us out of our state of wounded to a state of restorative healing.
