U.S. Naval Academy Graduate, Naval Flight Officer in the F-14 Tomcat, Doctor of Organizational Development, and President of Launch Team Consulting - Dr. Joy Bloom Wright

This week on The KORE Women podcast, Dr. Summer Watson welcomes Dr. Joy Bloom Wright a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and one of the first women to assist with the integration of women on aircraft carriers. She served as an active-duty Naval Flight Officer in the F-14 Tomcat. Joy has a master’s in Psychology and a doctorate in Organizational Development. Joy is also the President and Co-Founder of Launch Team Consulting and is one of the producers of the conference GRITConn that will be taking place in San Diego on February 23, 2023. 

As President and Co-Founder of Launch Team Consulting, Dr. Wright provides organizational development and leadership consulting. Dr. Wright and Ray Leonard Jr also a Co-Founder of Launch Team have provided training to military bases around the world, corporations, and non-profit organizations. Joy has over twenty-five years domestic and international experience as a professional manager, speaker, and consultant. She offers training in leadership and management, diversity and inclusion training, high risk behavior prevention, and strategic planning.

Joy was selected as a “Proudly She Served” Influencer. This organization honors active-duty military and veteran women for their selfless service.
