Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Oregon and UCLA alum, as well as, Athletes Unlimited member, the one and only, Brooke Yanez. Brooke has had a fantastic career to date and she’s still going strong. She was the 2018 Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year and the 2019 Big West Pitcher of the Year during her time at UC Davis. She then transferred to Oregon where she became an NFCA All-American in 2021. Brooke would finish her college career up as a Bruin with UCLA where she would be named a 2nd team All-Pac 12 Honoree. Brooke has had a fantastic career to date and she’s still going strong. She was the 2018 Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year and the 2019 Big West Pitcher of the Year during her time at UC Davis. She then transferred to Oregon where she became an NFCA All-American in 2021. Brooke would finish her college career up as a Bruin with UCLA where she would be named a 2nd team All-Pac 12 Honoree. She would go on to play last summer at Athletes Unlimited where she totaled 960 points.

We’re gonna talk to Brooke about how she got her start in the game, her days in travel ball and high school, her time at UC Davis, Oregon and UCLA, over coming injury to get back to the game she loves and much, much more.
