Against the human propensity to idolize certain human beings, this passage reinforces the mastery of Christ over the Church.

~ Apostle (representative of God to man)
~ High Priest (representative of man to God)

• Christ is more glorious than any man-even Moses! (2-6a)
~ God’s House (the Church)
~ The Builder of God’s House (God)
~ Caretaker of God’s House (Christ)
~ Servant of God’s House (Moses)

• Perseverance is the Test of Reality (6b)
~Balance between believer’s promised security and his/her necessary perseverance
~ Our Confidence and Hope = Christ
