Holiness and Hope in a Hostile World: Christian Community (Walking with others)

Oliver Towlson concludes our series on 1 Thessalonians in chapter 5. By drawing on Paul's theology of a new creation, we learn that living in community as children of the day and the light, means to live in the reality of the new creation as if it has already come. Even though we are still looking to the redemption and renewal of all things, our community life will be shaped by living in this new reality, through how we are lead, how we lead, how we take care of the vulnerable and needy, how we recognise God in everything we do, and the encouragement that God will accomplish is perfect plans to transform us from the inside out.
