Yep it's all bullshit. she's still alive and well but hoaxers be hoaxing and claim the "evidence" of this deed left bread crumbs such as:

She shrank

She wrote "Melissa" on her hand once

Her handwriting changed

"Melissa" left cryptic hidden messages in her songs

She evaded the topic in interviews...
