US Close 27 Feb 17: Dow up for the 11th straight session but only just...

US sharemarkets rose on Friday with the Dow Jones recording its 11th day of gains - the longest winning streak since 1987. Investors look ahead to Tuesday's address by President Trump to a joint session of Congress. At the close of trade the Dow Jones index was up by 11 points or 0.1% to record highs. The S&P 500 index was up by 0.2% while the Nasdaq was up by almost 10 points or 0.2%. Over the week the Dow rose by 1.0% with the S&P 500 up by 0.7% and the Nasdaq up by 0.1%.
