Luke 19:39-44
The bible records Jesus weeping twice. Once he wept at a friend's graveside simply because he empathized with the other mourners. In today's passage he wept for pity over a city that had missed her chance... a city that would soon reject Messiah and then pay a horrible price for that rejection.
