Market Close 6 Oct 22: ASX finishes flat after 2-day rally

The Aussie market took a breather on Thursday after rallying ~5.5% on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ASX 200 ended just 1.8 points higher at 6,817 with the energy sector the standout following major oil producing nations agreeing to cut production. Financials were a weight after leading improvements over the previous two sessions.
