There are many people who are offended by what they are told. Their reaction is - How dare you speak to me that way? Do not be put off by hard sayings! Paul told Timothy to use the scripture to rebuke, reproof and instruct people.

Do not let the fact that your boss or pastor raised his voice at you offend or disturb you. There are some bosses or Pastors who raise their voices but mean well and kind at heart. Endure hardness as a good soldier.
