There is no hiding when you grow up with everyone in town knowing who you are. For Cincinnati Bengals rookie offensive lineman Cordell Volson, he learned early to Show Up Early, Outwork Everyone, and Make Those Around You Better.

The native of Balfour, North Dakota, got In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics to discuss growing up with a graduating class of 13, playing at North Dakota State, where he won multiple National Championships, and living the dream of being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Volson may be working to win the starting left guard spot but feels he's connecting early with Jonah Williams, Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, and Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack.
