What gives them the perseverance needed to survive? Can hope be nurtured in times of uncertainty? And, yes, what gave her grandparents the trust needed to escape the pogroms of Russia and take refuge in a new land, America? This question kept on reappearing and so she sat down to compose a Concerto to honor our resilience.
