 US sharemarkets US Close 8 June 17: US markets rebounded ahead of the Comey's testimony and UK election outcomerebounded in late afternoon trade after former FBI director James Comey released written testimony ahead of his appearance in front of a Senate intelligence committee. The written testimony contained no new details of Comey's claim of alleged interference by the US President in a FBI investigation. But the energy sector was lower in response to a slump in oil prices. After being down 23 points, the Dow Jones ended higher by 37 points or 0.2%. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.2% while the Nasdaq rose by 22 points or 0.4%.
