Morning Report 2 Jun 21: US sharemarkets were mixed on Tuesday

Energy shares rose in line with the oil price. And financials also advanced. But healthcare and technology shares were weaker. Shares of AMC Entertainment rose 22.7% after the movie theatre chain said it sold $230 million of its stock. Shares in Abbott Labs fell by 9.3% after the company cut its full-year 2021 profit forecast. The Dow Jones index rose by 46 points or 0.1%. But the S&P 500 index eased by 0.1%. And the Nasdaq index lost 12 points or 0.1%.
