Jesus proclaimed, "These signs will follow those who believe... they will speak with new tongues" (Mark 16:17). This mighty ‘sign’ first emerged at Pentecost (Acts 2). And it continued to bless the church throughout its growth (Acts 10, Acts 19; 1 Cor. 12-14). Paul wrote, "I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you!” (1 Cor. 14:18) What are the different ways in which ‘tongues’ manifests in Scripture? Why was Paul so thankful for tongues?
