Why should Christians be activists? Should they protest injustice?

The problem of the Priest and Levite in the Parable of Good Samaritan was they were busy doing religious things but ignored the beating victim by passing by on the other side.

They were attitudinally pro-life but not behaviorally pro-life.

1 Cor. 8:1 says; “Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.”

Having the right answers for injustice alone is cold comfort to the victims.  That knowledge must be put into action.

Most Christians would say they are pro-life. But the church has failed in discipling the nation, and hence, the culture is suffering the worst manifestation of that failure - abortion.

Jesus said in Mt. 5:13 – “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”

We are being trampled underfoot despite being given the great commission.

Instead, liberals and non-Christians are leading the moral revolution. Every institution is dominated by secularists (the arts, Hollywood, academia, science, media, medicine, etc.).

Why? Because Christians have vacated these acumens and left a vacuum.

Jesus said we need to “occupy until I come.” The church should have influence and control over every aspect of life.

We cannot expect to ask non-believers to the job that only Christians are commissioned to do.
