Ukrainian women on Int Women’s Day - Fitzgerald

Ukraine and its women must be central to this year’s International Women’s Day – that’s the view of Frances Fitzgerald. According to the UN, millions of people are displaced within Ukraine, and more than one million have arrived in Europe as refugees. Ukrainian men are expected to remain in the country to fight Russia, so most of the refugees are women and children. Fine Gael MEP, Frances Fitzgerald, says the message today on International Women’s Day must be that we are here and you are welcome
