I. Observing Mary’s Example [Mark 14:3-5]

She broke the jar and poured it on Jesus’ head. 

 

Pray for God to “Break Me” of all …

* Idolatry

-   is anything I place above the Lord.

-   is the hidden sin that drives all other sins!

 

II. Observing a Prostitute’s Example [Luke 7:36-38]

She stood behind Jesus at His feet, weeping, and began to wash His feet with her tears.

 

Pray for God to “Break Me” of all …

* Sinfulness

-   Healing starts when we break apart. 

-   We impress people with our strengths; we connect with people in our struggles. 

 

III. Observing Jesus’ Example [Luke 22:19]

And Jesus took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “This is My body, which is given for you….”

 

Pray for God to “Break Me” of all …

* Selfishness

1. What am I not willing to give up for Jesus?
2. What am I not willing to forsake for Jesus?
3. What am I not willing to do for Jesus?
