Wake Up TriCounties Sara Billiet Kewanee Public Library

The Kewanee Public Library closed early on Wednesday due to sparks from an electrical wire just outside of the library. The Kewanee Fire Department responded as did Ameren Illinois and the library was closed early out an excess of caution. The library is safe, the power is on and the doors are once again open as Sara Billiet told WKEI's Wake Up Tri-Counties on Thursday. Sara also detailed the lengthy list of things happening at the library in September including the Labor Day weekend return of the Friends of the Library book sale, new fall hours at the library beginning after Labor Day and a host more of events.
