AmeriCup Over WNBA?! League Letting Players MISS TIME Is a JOKE!

Damiris Dantas will miss FOUR WNBA games as she leaves the Indiana Fever to play for Brazil in the AmeriCupW from late June into July. This leaves the Fever thin in the frontcourt, with no quality backup size behind Aliyah Boston. The fact that the WNBA allows players to leave their professional teams midseason for international tournaments is absolutely ridiculous.

What’s worse? Team USA is using college players, while other countries like Brazil are pulling pros off WNBA rosters—hurting teams during a crucial stretch of the season. Once again, the league shows why many fans consider it a joke when it comes to scheduling and player priorities.
