Casting Director Jessica Sherman [Bates Motel, The Strain]

Episode 72. In today's episode we are joined by the wonderful Jessica Sherman. She is a casting director that has worked on numerous TV shows such as Bates Motel and The Strain created by Guillermo Del Toro. She also worked in the casting department on some of Hollywood's biggest films, such as, Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol and Star Trek Into Darkness. She also casted the short film "Skin" which won an Oscar for best short film in 2018. We talk about how she fell into the casting world, actor and casting director misconceptions and what you can do to stand out in the room.
