Mid-Session 8 Nov. 19: Choppy trade but shares flat at lunch

The Aussie sharemarket is mostly flat despite a choppy start to Friday trading. The ASX 200 is little changed after investors digest recent headlines around US-China trade and the potential rollback of tariffs. Despite no official confirmation, this has seen a sell-off in safe havens with local gold producers among the major decliners. Energy, financials and IT stocks have been leading improvements.
