Proposals to hold a referendum on removing the blasphemy clause from the constitution have been welcomed by MEP Mairead Mc Guinness.
Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan brought the plans on the issue to cabinet today.

Speaking in Strasbourg today, the Midlands North-West MEP, said the move would be an important one at an international level.
