Dividends can be a great piece to an investment portfolio as they can add a layer of diversification.  They can allow an investor to receive income or add more shares through reinvestment.  However, just because a company issues a dividend doesn’t mean that they are a good investment.  As I explain in this episode, the simple process of issuing a dividend can & often does affect the stock price.  So know what you are investing in and why is always a good idea.
