Episode # 1358 - Lent 2016 Officially Started

Today, Lent has officially begun this year and Lent means Spring as Father Anthony points out at the beginning of the show.  This allows him to reflect on ideas/topics related to discussing this idea/topic regarding Lent, as well as Spring will be here in a couple of months too.  Since yesterday was Ash Wednesday too, Father Anthony talks about what Saint Stans and other Churches did in order to have people who wish to have the ashed applied to their head, as well as how conducted and those who did.  This also brings up what was talked about before slightly on other shows, about how society has "seduced" people to become things/people that they see in the media and if not become them, to model their behaviors, clothes, and manners based on them.  This leads to discussing Original Sin.  After the first break, Father Anthony brings to mind the readings from Ash Wednesday yesterday, and how influential they were and in turn, previous ideas/topics Father Anthony has discussed before on previous shows.
