Market Close 20 August 19: ASX 200 continues to recover from last week’s volatility

The Australian sharemarket continued to climb higher over the course of the afternoon closing up 77.6 points or 1.2 per cent to 6,545 as all sectors made advances led by the consumer staples, healthcare and energy.
