Market Close 30 Jan 18: Market slumps 0.9% erasing yesterday’s gains

The benchmark ASX 200 index has lost Monday’s gains, falling 0.9% or 52 points to 6,022. Every sector retreated, with mining & energy stocks the worst performers.
