Interview with Ciarán Cuffe on delisting of Shannon LNG

EuroParlRadio editor Karen Coleman talks to the Green Party MEP Ciarán Cuffe about his demands to get the Shannon Liquified natural gas project taken off a list of projects of strategic importance.

Critics of Shannon LNG say its planned importation of fracked gas from the US runs contrary to Ireland’s climate targets and existing national ban on fracking.

Ciarán Cuffe who is a member of the European Parliament’s Energy Committee, says the project should be removed from a list of strategic projects to be fast tracked by the European Commission.
