About Ross

By day, Ross is a privacy and governance specialist, working with companies and their employees to safeguard personal information, implementing programs at a global scale, and training managerial champions across the board. But by night, Ross has a passion project which is helping new managers succeed in the roles that they have recently been promoted to, regardless of their industry.

His book, “This is NOT what I signed up for”, is a personal account of successes and failures (without all the flashy academic frameworks and models) that details and teaches the skills you need to succeed as a first-time manager. This has spawned coaching, several upcoming courses, and a second edition of the book covering new skill sets in an evolving world.

Ross holds a master’s degree in the management of technology and innovation, and has been managing managers across industries and disciplines for more than a decade.
