MEPs Back Digital Copyright Rules - Harkin

MEPs have backed new rules governing digital copyright.

The controversial measure sparked debate across Europe over freedom of expression online.

However, many musicians and creators have been campaigning for new regulations on how material is used by the global tech giants.

They called for a mechanism to ensure payment for the use of material subject to copyright.
