September 19, 1961 was the first reported sighting of extraterrestrials in the US. A couple were driving on a vacant country road in New Hampshire when they spotted a pancake-shaped flying object. Both Barney and Betty Hill were intrigued at the sighting and then concerned. Little did they know that they would soon be the first Americans recorded to have been abducted by extraterrestrials.
