About Mariquita Joy
Mariquita Joy is an author of over 80 books including fiction, non-fiction, puzzle books, journals and coloring books for adults and children. She is a bilingual (Spanish) speaking nurse, although she has not a drop of Latina blood. She grew up in snow covered Canada before moving to South America for a short time. She works as a travelling case manager nurse for Spanish speaking people who are injured at work.
She has been a nurse for 30 years working in areas of OB, pediatrics, and commercial and workers compensation. She graduated with a Master of Public Health from USF in Tampa and a BA in business management from the University of Phoenix.She was a regional finalist in the White House Fellows Program.
She writes under multiple pen names of Savanna Spencer, Marita Morgan, Lexi Lou and Emily Elizabeth Adams. Each pen name has its own genre. Marita- classics such as Dracula and the Count of Monte Cristo. Savanna- nonfiction with a sarcastic twist. She also has several snarky adult coloring books. Emily Elizabeth- Christian fiction. Her first series is a love story through time to the civil war era between a black slave and a feisty fighter pilot Time travel Christian romance . Lexi- Dozens of AI quality artistic coloring books for adults and kids using mid-journey artificial intelligence.
Mariquita has also published coloring books and journals under her own name. She has many medical planners for cancer, brain injury and cardiology. She has co-written a 30-day brain injury- memory program for caregivers and therapists to use with patients in a Dementia activity book . As a ragdoll cat breeder, she has written a book to help people avoid getting scammed and knows what to ask a potential breeder.
Mariquita is available as a guest speaker on a variety of examples due to her vast wealth and experience in many areas.
